The CAL Triumph R.A.T.s (CalRAT's) are based in "Silicon Valley", the heart of the south San Francisco Bay Area and are associated with California Triumph in Mountain View. We explore the roads of central and northern California with an emphasis on the South and East Bay foothills. Our pack is designed to offer something for every rider. Whether you are an experienced rider who wants to attend one of our suspension seminars in preparation for a track day or you are new to the sport of motorcycling, we all share in the idea of having a great time wherever and whenever we ride!

Why should I affiliate with the CalRATs?
California Triumph is the largest Triumph dealer in Northern California and the only California dealer that can offer you excellent sales service and support for all you Triumph needs. We have a 25 year history of giving people what they want from the sport of motorcycling. Namely: events, knowledge, fun and customer service. Like our slogan says "Experience shared!". We ride and we want you to ride too!

Generally we try and organize 3 weekend (overnight) rides a year to various destinations of interest to motorcyclists. These are usually organized around great roads, great food and interesting destinations. These might include trips south to the Pinnacles or north to the Marin/Sonoma coast and wine country. It doesn't matter what you ride, old or new, we warmly welcome any Triumph owner to ride with us. In addition to our local RAT rides, we participate in many national RAT raids in California.

The CalRATs also organize tech sessions, track days, Bar-B-Qs and charity events with their members. We encourage everyone to participate in CalMoto's monthly "First Sunday" rides. These rides visit some of the best motorcycling roads in the extended Bay Area in a friendly, supportive environment. They are held on the first Sunday of each month and guarantee you a good ride in a reasonable time frame. These rides are posted each month on the CalMoto website.

Meetings are held at CalTriumph on, roughly, a bi-monthly basis. These meeting are announced by e-mail blast to our members a few weeks ahead of time. The Pack Leader is Phil Covington.
